Cheryl Smith and Pam Poppe have been with Dr. Mitakides since his first day in practice, and are likely to be the first people you’ll work with at the TMJ Center. Cheryl and Pam are both Expanded Function Dental Assistants – the highest certification available for dental assistants, as well as being Certified TMJ Assistants, an advanced accreditation earned from the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Completing the team are Doris, our Certified Dental Assistant who works closely with Dr. Mitakides; and Julie Rachlow, a dedicated insurance specialist who will help you every step of the way.
A vital key to dental health is comprehensive soft tissue management, and Heather & Kristin in our Dental Hygiene department are dedicated to helping our patients with this critical part of dental care. Far beyond “getting your teeth cleaned,” soft tissue management includes cancer screening, periodontal disease diagnosis and treatment, and intra-oral imaging and tracking.
